A play with young people
Contact Theatre, Manchester - 22 - 29 April 2006
Directed by Andre Pink
Final Script by Montse Gili
Dende Collective in collaboration with Contact Young Actors Company
Dende devised this show with the company after one-month residency. The show was a cabaret styled piece loosely inspired by short stories from the novel Stories of Eva Luna by the Chilean writer Isabel Allende. CLUB PIRANHA fittingly married Dende's Educational and Artistic ethos: while working with young people we devised and produced a professional show that became a sold out success during the whole run. Together we took the audience to a Latin American Club populated by the characters of those stories, where their highly emotional lives were portrayed using all sorts of theatrical devices.
