A play with young people

Lyric Hammersmith, 1-4 August 2007

Directed by Andre Pink and Montse Gili

Final Script by Montse Gili

Set Design by Andre Pink

Dende Collective and 20 young people aged 14 – 16 created the inaugural show of the Lyric Young Company (LYC) performed at its Studio Theatre. Drawing on Dende’s experience with the Contact’s CYAC (2006 show CLUB PIRANHA) we revisited the world of the novel Stories of Eva Luna by the Chilean writer Isabel Allende. During five weeks we offered the young people a fully professional theatre experience where, supported by all the departments at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre we devised a show loosely based on the world of Allende’s stories. The show was completely sold out during its run.
