Lincoln Performing Arts Centre. Lincoln

18 January 2015

4 Days, 10 actors, 1 Writer and 1 Director: this will be the first steps towards creating THE PASSION OF PEDRO CAMACHO, a new Dende piece loosely based on "Aunt Julia and the scriptwriter" by the Peruvian Mario Vargas Llosa. It is set in Peru in the 50's and to be more specific in the radio studios of a station that broadcasts radio soaps to the entire city of Lima. These epic stories full of cliffhangers are written, directed and acted by the charismatic, enigmatic and also megalomaniac Pedro Camacho...

This is the first time André Pink (Dende’s Artistic Director) will collaborate with Mark O’Thomas who was a Dende core member till 2008. Mark has translated, written, adapted and devised several shows for the company. They will work with 10 actors on a 4-day R&D devising a show based on the novel Aunt Julia and the scriptwriter by the Peruvian Mario Vargas Llosa. This will the first stage of what could be a new Dende show for 2016.
